ABU SSANU Excos Pay Courtesy Visit to NAERLS ED

The executives of Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities (SSANU), Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, have paid a courtesy visit to the newly appointed Executive Director of NAERLS, Professor Yusuf Ahmad Sani. The visit, which was on 31 October 2024, followed the announcement that the Vice Chancellor of ABU, Professor Kabir Bala, has appointed Professor Sani as Executive Director of the Institute. The team was led by the Branch Chairman, Comr. Muhammad A. Yunusa and  his vice chairman, Comr. Saidu Badamasi. In their congratulatory message to the Executive Director, the group prayed that he would succeed beyond expectations. They also promised that they Union will work collaboratively with the Institute to put ABU Zaria in its pride of place in the global comity of universities. In response, the ED appreciated their gesture and promised that matters relating to unionism and worker-employer relations will be given priority in his administration. Other members of the visiting team were: Comr. Halimat F.O Abubakar (Secretary), Comr. Mansir Garba (Treasurer), Comr. Sani Alhassan (Asst. Secretary), Comr. Iro Katsina (Ex-officio), and Comr. Hauwa Yahaya (Women Coordinator).
