AGRA KADUNA CONSORTIUM ZONAL FIELD DAY

The AGRA KADUNA CONSORTIUM Project organized zonal field days on Saturday 10th September 2022 in four locations across the state. 

The field day in Basawa community-Sabongari local government area was attended by the Kaduna state commissioner for Agriculture, Husaini  Ibrahim, who was represented by the Director, Agric services, Yau Kasim; the G.M. Kaduna Agricultural Development Agency, Dr. Abubakar Bayero; the Executive Director of NAERLS, Prof. Emmanuel Ikani, who was also represented by the Ag. Assistant Director, Research and Planning of NAERLS Dr. Iyiola Tunji, and the project Coordinator, Prof. C.K Daudu, representatives from Premier Seeds, IITA (AGRA Kaduna Consortium Co-grantees) amongst other dignitaries. 

The farmers and community members present showed tremendous appreciation for the Project’s gestures and the new technologies for maize farming showcased at the field demonstrations.
