Christogonus Kayode Daudu
About / Bio
Dr Christogonus Kayode Daudu is a Professor and Subject Matter Specialist in Farming Systems and Soil Science Extension at the National Agricultural Extension & Research Liaison Services (NAERLS), Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. He also holds a joint academic appointment with ABU’s Department of Soil Science.
Education: Dr. Daudu holds a Bachelor of Agriculture, a Master of Science, and a Doctor of Philosophy in Soil Science, all from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.
Research and Teaching/ Grants and Projects: Dr Daudu is actively engaged in extension, research and teaching. He has led or participated in international and multi-partner research projects funded by donors, focusing on developing and promoting improved and sustainable agricultural management and extension practices. His latest research is an AGRA funded grant on Extension, Marketing & Regenerative Agriculture Consortium in Kaduna State. He was a member of the Nigerian National Fertilizer Technical Committee and is co-editor of the manual on Fertilizer Use and Management Practices for Crops in Nigeria. He has several publications in reputable journals.
International Experience:
Dr. Daudu served as a 2016/2017 Visiting Senior Fulbright Research Scholar (African Research Scholar Program) at the Department of Agronomy and Horticulture, University of Nebraska-Lincoln, Nebraska.
He was also a post-doctoral research fellow at the University of Fort Hare, Alice, South Africa (2006 – 2008) under the South Africa’s National Research Foundation
